Like to bet on video poker games? Step into any casino in Las Vegas and one element you will immediately see is that the casinos spend a ton of floor space on machines. Much of that layout goes to Video Poker. If you have gambled on Video Poker for any amount of time, you realize that not all machines were created the same. As the years have gone by, even more "specialty" video poker machines have come into being. Today, I am going to share a few of my Video Poker hints, I hope you will enjoy them.

Trick One: Locating a decent game

Discovering a good machine is as easy as looking at the pay out schedule. You actually want to keep away from unique pay machines that have bigger top pay outs, but minimize the lower pay outs. e.g., a game could pay a bit more on 4 of a kind, but might pay less on two pair, flushes and full houses. Since you will rack up lower scale pay outs often, because of the probability of receiving these hands, you want a great smaller scale pay out system.

Tip Two: Betting Tactic

Discovering how to play competently is a must. Your wagering technique will, in the long run, determine your average return and your finishing bank roll amount. Understanding what to do in a situation where you have, for example, two Kings, but 4 to the flush is essential. Do you keep the Kings and the assured cash or throw the dice for the difficult to get flush? Competing on a good machine with a great tactic will give you an excellent opportunity to earn cash over the long run.

Trick 3: It is random

For years, I have observed folks play electronic Poker in Atlantic City relying on all kinds of superstitious movements. A few will just use cold credits to play, other will press the buttons with gusto, some will hit the machine with their money before gambling and the list just keeps going. Every hand is built by a random number generator. The instant you begin to wager, the hand is set in stone. The game will at random select all the cards from a deck and deal them out.

Pointer 4: There’s no memory

This is a very important one. Most players figure that if they begin to see hands with 3 of a kind, 4 to the royal and so on that the better hands are due any moment. This is just wrong. As described in tip 3, the system uses a RNG to setup the hands. The game has no memory. It does not have knowledge that you have not received a full house in four hundred hands or that you’ve just received 3, four of a kind hands in sequence. It is conceivable you could go 100k hands without a 4 of a kind and it is very likely to receive ten in a row. The game doesn’t keep track, because in the end, the numbers work out.

I hope these hints have helped you blossom as an electronic Poker player. Myths on how the game works can be far more deadly than simply wagering wrong. I have seen folks spend (and lose) a multitude of dollars on a game just because they believed the game had a memory and was "due" to hit. Do not fall victim like this.
