Electronic Poker is a favored game that is able to be gambled on in casinos around the world, or alternatively at home on your home computer, using a web account. The regulations are absolutely straightforward and involve the player attempting to get the best mixture of cards achievable in order to win cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a regular game of poker, apart from the involvement with competing players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and presses the deal button. A hand of five cards will be electronically ‘distributed’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and players will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.

After the gambler has chosen which cards he or she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards will be dealt if desired. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.

Normally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from machine to machine, so that experienced gamblers are agile enough to choose the most beneficial game every time.

Once the first round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game give the enthusiast a chance to double their profits, in which situation a further game is played. There are also variations between specific machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
