Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be wagered on in casinos all over the world, or in your house on your home computer, through a net connection. The regulations are very simple and involve the player trying to get the highest combination of cards as you can in order to come away with money. In this respect it’s much the same as a classic game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. Of course, tactics used in a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Video Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A five card hand will be electronically ‘given out’ on the screen.
The Electronic Poker game also has hold buttons, and gamblers will need to now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.
After the enthusiast has chosen which cards he wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be needed they will be given out. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payout schedule.
Normally, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the pay out schedule can change from machine to machine, so that experienced players are able to pick the most profitable game every instance.
After the first round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game allow the gambler a chance to increase their wins, in which instance a further game is played. There are also differences between individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
