Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be enjoyed in casinos across the world, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through a web connection. The game rules are very straightforward and consist of the player attempting to achieve the best mixture of cards achievable in order to come away with money. On this account it is much the same as a classic game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods used in a real-life game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and pushes the play button. A hand of 5 cards will then be electronically ‘distributed’ on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and enthusiasts should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the player wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the gambler has chosen which cards she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be handed out if desired. The game is now finished, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the payment schedule.

Typically, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can range from game to game, so that skillful enthusiasts are able to select the most money-making ones each time.

After the first round has played out, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that might have been won. Additionally, some versions of the game give the bettor an opportunity to increase their profits, in which case a further hand is played. There are also differences among individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
